Companies supplying these kind of articles are required to submit information on these to ECHA, the European Chemicals Agency. The data, made available to waste operators, and consumers upon request, would promote non-toxic material cycles in the EU. The Database will apply on 5 January 2021.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13517\" src=\"https:\/\/www.homeappliancesworld.com\/files\/2020\/11\/SCIP-DATABASE-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"981\" height=\"304\"><\/p>\n<p>However, according to APPLiA, that fully supports the objectives of the Database, the current ECHA implementation exceeds the legal basis for the Database, as laid down under Article 33 REACH, as explained the Association general director, Paolo Falcioni.<br \/>\n\u00abThe SCIP Database as currently implemented by the EU Institutions \u2013 he said &#8211; constitutes a misalignment with what is written in the law. That is why we sent a complaint to the EU Ombudsman to urge action leading to aligning the implementation of the Database with its legal basis.
