The caliber RRM1101 is definitely an automatic using a custom automatic rotor and adequate finishing. It isn’t “haute horology,” but it’s decently finished along with a nice visual encounter on the reverse of an otherwise fairly simple dial.UPDATE: Ball provides a little more information about the RRM1101 motion and clarifies everything “Manufacture” means. In accordance with Ball the motion is designed by them and assembled by them. They do not produce the parts, but rather use quality providers to create the parts. Ball doesn’t have the machines or people to produce the parts but they do have expertise creating modules along with other movement parts. So again, as the sections of this “Manufacture” RRM1101 aren’t produced in-house, Ball claims that the design was developed by these, plus they constructed the moves in-house.

Perhaps the model’s most standout feature is its case, which has a distinct uneven pattern that makes each watch unique. Another standout feature is the movement, which is a COSC chronometer certified automatic caliber Ball RR1103-C.
