Gifam, the French association of the home appliances sector, has named Véronique Denise as president for a two-year term. Denise, also president of Beko France, succeeds to Brigitte Petit, whose mandate had come to the end. «In a context marked by the health crisis – said Véronique Denise – Brigitte Petit has leaded ambitious projects for Gifam and I thank her for the work done. Driven by particularly rich regulatory news, our organization has been able to strengthen its position as a benchmark by demonstrating its constant commitment to major ecological issues and in understanding consumer expectations».
Looking at the future and the new challenges, the new president added: «Our profession is now preparing to take part in new challenges in circular economy with the extension of the repairability index to new categories of products, the creation of the repair fund, or the arrival of the sustainability index in some months. This is why I intend to continue the actions initiated with distributors and public authorities in order to encourage the entire sector to adopt good practices but also those intended for consumers to inform them in their purchases and use of their devices».
Véronique Denise has over 30 years of experience in household appliance, sanitary and automotive sector. She began her career in 1988 in the Whirlpool group where she will hold various marketing and sales positions. She also was general management of Franke France then that of the Western Europe zone.
