According to a new report from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Fold may be available very soon. So far Samsung has only officially confirmed that it’s going to release the Fold sometime in September.
Sources inside the mobile industry have now told the news agency Yonhap that Samsung is currently negotiating with the Korean carriers. They want to make the Galaxy Fold available in Korea on September 6. This is a surprise, as the company wasn’t expected to launch the phone until later in the month.
IFA trade show in Berlin starts on exactly September 6. This may be Samsung’s way to try and get some focus on them, as other companies will be announcing new products there. What might also happen is a re-reveal of the Galaxy Fold at IFA. Even if this ends up true and the Fold does launch in Korea on September 6, it will come to other markets in late September. Official launch dates for other countries are, for know, unknown.
