Apple hosting iPhone event on September 10

by Homeland Life

As we have previously reported, Apple has scheduled its iPhone announcement event for September 10. It will take place in the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, at 10 AM local time. Today, the company has sent out official invitations.

Apple is expected to release three new smartphones, each a successor to last year’s models – iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. We still don’t know what they’ll be called, but we should expect three rear cameras in the more expensive versions, while the XR’s successor will most likely have just two.

Additionally, the more expensive versions may come with reverse wireless charging (for the AirPods) as well as 120fps slow-motion videos on the selfie camera. All three models should retain the same screen sizes and resolutions as their predecessors. Also, they will all probably stick with the Lightning port.

All new iPhones will be powered by the new A13 chip, while none of them will have 3D Touch as it’s getting replaced by Haptic Touch. Unlocking should also be made easier with a wider-angle Face ID sensor.
